Botanic Garden orchid

We went back to the US Botanic Garden, situated on the National Mall, for a quick look around now that the Christmas exhibit is over. There really weren’t too many flowers on display, other than many bushes of one pictured below, but this orchid caught my eye.

I was disappointed about the lack of flowers since I wanted to reacquaint myself with my Nikon 105mm micro lens, which this was taken with. I haven’t used it in probably seven years, since we left Washington for Budapest.
