Surprisingly festive

Tim had to go back to Abu Dhabi last week for a whirlwind visit and stayed at the same hotel (Ritz Carlton). This was taken in the lobby, which, although only an hour or two away by air, is a scene one would never see in Saudi Arabia, on several counts – Christmas tree and decorations, uncovered women and somebody in shorts.

Very nice tree and interior. And yes, it's the same in Dubai, men can wear shorts and women wear short, sleeveless dresses!
