A couple more pictures from my venture into the Butterfly Pavilion at the National Museum of Natural History on the Mall, just because the butterflies were so beautiful! I was amazed at what looked like wear and tear on the wings.

Great capture of what I believe is a Juno butterfly, Helen. Most butterflies only live about a week or so, so by the end of their cycle their wings frequently become quite ragged and torn.
