Wavy seating

There were three of these unusual looking benches along the Anacostia River, I guess meant to resemble waves, although they didn’t look all that comfortable.

Historic pumping station, posted earlier.

Maybe they are for skateboarders?

Obviously built for looks and not comfort. V

Beautiful well captured image Helen, indeed it looks not comfortable.

Strange design! Looks a bit like a yoga pose.

My impression is Cinderella lost her slippers running along the Anacostia River.

Maybe they're intended for reclining! ;)
Nicely captured image Helen! V

I would think that these are for scaters who want to jump.

I can't imagine sitting on the downward portion, but they are quite elegant though. V

benches that require attention...might prove favourable for a massage, or as little kid's slides though..

I agree with Jim, looks like it is designed for laying. Nice image of it.
Jim Coffman30-Aug-2016 19:40
They might be okay to lay on. :))

perhaps you turn them round and they become diving boards?
fotabug30-Aug-2016 18:45
Probably for looks only! I am not so sure I would want to sit there. LOL
