This is the famous old White Stag sign, a skiwear manufacturer that used to be based in Portland but was purchased by Wal-Mart. It advertised the brand for 40 years but has been changed and now advertises Portland’s Old Town. Shot at an awkward angle as I was hanging out the car window just as we were approaching it.
I think this is finally the end of my Portland gallery, unless I find something else I missed. We always visit Tim’s family on home leave, but have never spent three whole weeks there, and it was delightful. I was worried that there wouldn’t be enough to do or see, but that definitely wasn’t the case. I could have stayed longer!
