Portland Japanese Garden

This garden was so very lush, but just not an easy place to photograph with the huge contrasts in deep shadows and brilliant light. I couldn’t quite get the reflections I wanted so had to settle for these.

I realise that in many cases it's very hard to take the photo we'd like when light and natural contrast are too sharp, but you managed well to convey the feeling of all this rich and sumptuous greenery
