Cuevas, of California

The annual Smithsonian Folklife Festival is currently under way on the National Mall. The weather was pretty ugly the day we went, but at least it wasn’t raining like it was on July 4. California and the Basque Country were the featured regions this year, the latter of which I found fascinating.

The caption with a picture of this group read: "Dancers from Grupo NuuYuku/Danza de los Diablos de San Miguel Cuevas, Fresno, 2016."
