Formidable

I have photographed so many gates and doors over the years here, but at this point -- getting towards the end of the gallery -- I’m just posting ones that I feel stand out in one way or another. The subjects are endless because every single house has high walls and a gate, but a lot of them do look similar or are not so outstanding. We, for instance, have high walls and a door, but it is pretty nondescript (so I wouldn’t bother taking a picture of it).

This somehow reminds me of a garage door. It isn't as elegant as some of the other gates.

I am curious about the almost oriental look to some of the design work and ornamentation on these gates. Not what I expect from this region.
