Efficient administration

The administrative staff at the hospital are very conscientious and check in every day to ask how things are going, if everything is good and if you have any complaints. This very nice woman has been looking after me, and I have enjoyed talking to her; we have even managed to learn each other’s names. Just as the Saudi men who work in reception areas all wear traditional dress, so do the women, a black abaya but with a somewhat modern red trim.

I have been trying to take pictures out my huge picture window, but I was a bit shaky last night from a lack of sleep over several nights (and possibly from the very strong course of IV antibiotics I have been on), and I just don’t like the shots I took. So I have been asking staff if I can photograph them instead – much more interesting anyway, I think.

Friendly staff, posted earlier.

She has lovely eyes! Very fascinating insights into Saudi culture. They seem to be a lot more conscientious than some of the hospitals in the US! V

Well, these are rare portraits indeed, Helen, few photographers would find such an opportunity (especially us males). Just love those smiling eyes behind the abaya!
