Taj Center

I have added a number of images that were in folders of Riyadh architecture which I haven’t posted because something newer and “better” always managed to come along. The photos (and buildings) aren’t particularly spectacular, but since I seem bent on documenting the architecture here, didn’t want to leave them out or forget about them!

A blend of new and old, posted earlier:

The blue and grey/sand color scheme seems to be common in Riyadh architecture, perhaps in reference to desert and sky. But the building shapes are so varied and modern. The layout of this one reminds me of the Blue Mosque in Istanbul. A most interesting image, Helen. V.
