'Female Waiting Area'

I thought I’d post a few more pictures from the hospital, which I continue to find to be a fascinating place. The waiting rooms for doctor consultations are segregated, as is the place where you have blood taken. I couldn’t figure out until Tim explained it what “Female Extraction Area” and “Male Extraction Area” meant ;-). I always choose to sit outside these areas, which is how I managed to get this picture. I was actually aiming for the sign, but by chance there happened to be two women in there anyway.

Sometimes hard to accept this sort of segregation. I used to visit Calcutta regularly and recall feeling slightly uncomfortable when dining with only the men, while the women of the household served us, then ate later.
