Water-loving palms

I have never understood how palm trees can live in water, but they obviously can. Amazing because they really don't need much water to survive.

This really is interesting, and I thought they would drown if their roots were water saturated.

It seems that the leaves of the palm tree in the water look greener then the ones in the soil.
I guess their are all kind of palmtrees demanding different care.?
