I finally have had to give in and make a separate sub-gallery for this neighborhood, which we seem to be frequenting because it’s so close to the DQ. It’s a large area but doesn’t have all that many houses because the ones that are there are enormous (and I think I know every one of them now!). However, there is much construction going on, and I’m sure there will be more houses to photograph soon enough.
The unusual minaret of a mosque on a property under construction that I had photographed earlier (and another image to follow). I can’t even imagine what this place will be, but it’s very creatively designed and has a huge area with a number of monumental gates on the street that I can never manage to capture.
