We came across this neighborhood one evening on our way back home from a supermarket, and I was so intrigued by this gate I wanted to go back and see more. It’s not as upscale a neighborhood as the one I photographed last year, but I always find it interesting to see how people live here.

A note about the shot of the gate: I tried numerous times to get a sharp picture of it, including getting out of the car and walking almost right up to it, but for some reason this camera refused to focus well on the doors, which were nicely lit by the sun (may not look like it now, but the doors were fuzzy in the original). This happened several more times with this camera, and as a result I pretty much stopped using it. I loved the Mark 2 version and so have ordered the Mark 4 in the hope that it will be better than this Mark 3!
