A delightful guide took me on a tour of Marrakech today, but unfortunately Tim wouldn’t have been able to manage that much walking on crutches (especially with all the many motorbikes in the narrow souqs), so he had to stay at the riad most of the day. He did join us for a tour around a beautiful garden by wheelchair.

This was one of the many souqs we walked through in the medina – literally beehives of activity with not only people shopping, but also with the countless workshops producing pretty much everything imaginable. These are not the easiest places to photograph, not only because of the huge contrasts in light, but because most people really don't want their picture taken, so it usually has to be a distance shot of nobody in particular, and very quickly.
