Fountains of Hajer Garden (8)

I guess this image is a bit confusing, but the water was running in the fountain. It cascades down the glass walls.

This is the contemporary fountain in Hajer Garden which has been under repair for quite some time. As the scaffolding was gone and it had been operating this morning when I was there without a camera, I went back in the afternoon to try to get some shots of it. I did, but suddenly the water stopped running, a few pictures after this one, not just for this fountain but for all of the many fountains in Hajer Garden. I think I need to learn the schedule!

Although the temperature has dropped radically (it has actually been cold recently!), the ever-present sun was blinding while trying to take images from this POV. I literally couldn't see what I was focusing on, either through the viewfinder (a very cool addition to this model) or on the screen. So it was just luck that I got something at all.

A very unusual fountain -reminds me of a obelisk.
It's an attractive feature and you got a good shot of it despite the blinding sun. V

I guess keeping the water under glass keeps it from evaporating in that desert environment. Very ingenious fountain. Vote.

A very clever idea for a fountain and very beautiful too. Luckily the camera can still see when we can't. Well done. ~BV~

Excellent rendering of the sky around the leaves - I don't see any fringing - that's quite unusual on most of the cameras I've used. Kudos to Sony - and probably your editing! :-)

Ah...you must be very happy to have a viewfinder! Perfect exposure on this one!

Fine composition and the verticals are vertical. Not bad for not being able to see. v

Quite an interesting fountain. Sounds like you had a difficult time shooting it. I think that you did quite well, anyway. V.

I can imagine it must be spectacular with the water running, because it is quite spectacular without. Gorgeous shot of it. V
