This very flashy abaya was sitting out to wear to a reception for Hungarian national day in the evening when I noticed that all the sequins were reflecting on the door and floor. The differences in light were so extreme, not sure you can get the full effect here, but it was dazzling.
After all that, I ended up not wearing it because the reception was on the DQ and Tim felt none of the women in attendance (all Westerners) would be in abayas. He was right. The Saudi men who came, of course, were dressed in their traditional clothing. There were no Saudi women.
