The wall I just had to see

I had seen this wall from the street when we first drove by, and just had to see it up close. First we tried to park on the street but were told to move (for some reason we didn’t understand since the policeman only spoke Arabic). We parked the car in a neighborhood above and started walking to the wall but were motioned to get off the street, we later found out because a huge motorcade for some important person (probably royalty) was to pass by. We finally got to the wall by hiking through an area full of what looked like giant (meaning very high) stone seats (we found out on the way back there was a path that would have been much easier) only to find the wall wasn’t as spectacular as it appeared from the road as much of it was in disrepair, but still interesting, I thought. It is situated below one of the palaces in the three previous pictures.

I find it very appealing and as I said in the other comment, the decrepitude adds to its appeal. V

It is in need of some repair isn't it?

The wall really needs some repair, but the place looks quite delightful with this S curved pathway edged by palm trees. V
