This was something I learned about being “out in the desert” – there is trash literally everywhere. It looked like everybody just tosses garbage from cars, and of course it piles up over time, to the point that it’s incredibly unattractive. I did see two men cleaning up litter on the side of the road, but I can’t imagine what good they would be able to do considering the immense scope of the problem.
This was taken from a moving vehicle in a famous stretch of desert known for its red sand.
