Late afternoon shadows

I think this view gives a clear picture of the architectural style of this plaza, which I find quite appealing. We had to walk through sort of a garbage dump for the complex to get here, encountering numerous stray cats along the way. The cats were either afraid of Sahraa and ran away, or stood their ground ready for a fight – with Sahraa or us, it appeared. My husband had to tell them pretty forcefully to back off, which they did only minimally. There are countless cats roaming the entire Diplomatic Quarter, and some people leave food and water out for them, which is pretty nice since I don’t know how they find anything to drink otherwise. Clearly some of the cats inside the arcades are cared for by tenants, as was the case with the cat who “adopted” me a few pictures back.

I've gotten a bit behind with Pbase due to an incredibly long work day and night yesterday, but will try to catch up soon!
