Passion Facade

This was not Gaudí’s design and was sculpted fairly recently, if I recall correctly. The very block-like features of the statues have been criticized, but personally I liked the style.

this is a different part than was free from scaffolding when I was there and so am pleased to see it. For my taste the very strong raking columns and sculpture among the best the last half of the C20th produced are infinitely preferable to the bits of weak gothic from the 30s and even more successful than the nave completion (disregarding the bits and pieces hung from it)
