Central room

The entire palace is built around this central room, 15 meters high and topped by a cupola modeled after the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. It was used for public, social and religious events and even includes a chapel.

I retook this scene on my second visit to Barcelona, and with different positioning and a lower ISO, I like it a bit better than the one older one above:
