There is a very interesting custom on this street in which parts of the original structures are left exposed in some interesting ways. Sometimes it's just a corner or a bit of stone, but sometimes it's quite elaborate and artistically done.
I just learned that this building was actually a synagogue used by the Sephardic Jews who had settled in Buda. More info to come later. There was another synagogue across the street built in the the 1460s but apparently not much of the walls remains.
