Halloween 2004!

This is a picture from Katy's first camera! She now has her own li'l digital camera and will have her own Katy's world gallery soon! This is a test picture taken by daddy. Not the world's most veratile camera, but it is fairly "kid proof" as there is no protruding lens. It does have an LCD for the all importaint playback. Many children today know nothing of film. Most just want to look at the pictures instantly. Katy can now do that for her friends!
Oh, and pumpkin face and glitter courtesy of artist Katy!

Thanks. We always try to have some fun holiday pictures.
The camera is a Concord Eye-Q 4060. It is a 4 MP fixed lens compact. Not the clearest lens in the world, but at $100.00 including batteries and case it was just an OK deal. They formerly got $200.00 for it and no way was it worth that! Here is the review at Steve's:

Not very good, but not as bad as the HP we tried. Took four shots and had to change the NMH batteries! We took it back after five days, so I guess this is actually Katy's second camera. Real bad that HP!
The best one form children right now is the Olympus 395. Same price better camera. We did not get it because it took XD media. I already have five gig of SD and CF and a stray SM card. I figured stay with the SD or CF, and the Concord fit the bill.
Katy will upgrade eventually. We have to learn proper handling and protection as well as the nuts and bolts of picture taking. It is still preferable to throw away film cameras in that we print and manipulate only the ones she wants. Lots of "learner shots" at Katy's stage.

Fun photo. And what camera is it?
