Top image: Dad the guard, seems to be a bit derelict in his duties as it appears he is fast asleep.


No matter though for the moment trouble brews (Crows and Hawks) Dad awakes and appears ready to spring into action.


Once the threat has disappeared again, Dad seeming a bit bored with his job, does a leisurely wing-stretch whilst still keeping an eye out for the intruders. Shortly after, Dad returns to his nap.

Note: Mom was off the nest too standing guard in another nearby tree. She too spent a good portion of her time snoozing.
