Three images of my first Snowy Owl of the season. I actually saw and photographed two that day after having been skunked on several previous attempts at finding them.

Top image: After having flown from hydro pole to hydro pole several times, as I'm driving along the road, the Owl finally settles on a mound of debris in a farmer's field.

The Owl taking off as I slowly approached it on foot. I probably got to about 30 meters from it.
