Four images of an other Hybrid Goose. This one was found along the Ottawa River, first in March of this year and again in November. I initially thought it to be a Greater White-fronted/Canada Goose Hybrid with a predominant resemblance to the Greater W-f. Today's four images are all from late March/09. Tomorrow's posting will be of, what appears to be the same goose, taken in mid-November.
NOTE added: It was suggested to me by Chris B. that this is probably a cross between a Canada and a Graylag Goose( a.k.a Domestic Goose) On further checking, I believe that Chris is right. Thanks Chris.
Top Image: The goose does a nice feather shuffle/display. Note the orange feet and beak, typical of a Greater White-fronted Goose. Note also the white breast band and more white on the head and along the front of the neck, compared to a Greater White-fronted.
Close-up shot. Those teeth look sharp.
Full view with Canada Geese in the background.
Just Clowning Around.
