This is a first for me. The Marbled Godwit doesn't often appear in the Ottawa area. Sightings reportedly occur only about every five to seven years. This one was found only a few miles from where I live. It has been around for several weeks now. I and some friends were lucky to get reasonably close to it on this one occasion as usually it was seen at considerable distance across the bay.
