Yesterday, Mom/Dad went off to get some more grub for the demanding little ones. Following are my last postings (four Images) of the young Kingbirds being fed whilst still in the nest.

Thus far I've posted images of them being fed a Japanese Beetle, a Dragonfly and a Grasshopper, all protein rich to make them grow fast. Today's top image shows that a bug of some kind is again being placed deep inside the throat of the far young. The second image shows that it's the near young's turn to be fed. It seems that the adults distribute/rotate the feeding pretty well between siblings.

Previously I've also posted images of the first fledgling being fed a huge raspberry shortly after it left the nest. Presumably, once it was out of the nest, it needed energy food (sugar) to give it energy to fly. It seems that Mom/Dad knew to change the diet once the young had left the nest.
