Parakeets trying to take over a hole made by a Lineated Woodpecker. The L. Woodpecker was seen to be working several holes on this trunk. The Parakeets would sit on top of the broken off trunk and watch the Woodpecker do its thing. As soon as the Woodpecker left, they would move in. Also, there was a Black-cheeked Woodpecker competing for the same space. It was making a hole a bit lower and on the other side of the trunk. All-in-all, a most inviting/busy tree trunk.
