X-Ray computed tomography image revealing pattern of threads in textile used during strike
The darker the image, the thicker the metal. The beaded rim wire is 800 microns in diameter whereas the gold of the bracteate disk is 100-200 microns thick. The spacing of threads observed is 500 microns.
