This is a part shade area due to a giant maple tree in the neighbor's yard (off to the right.) Two years after I planted, it's filled in a bit and doing quite well. A lot of compliments from passers by. We have wild geranium, woodland sunflower, blue giant hyssop, bottlebrush grass, zig zag goldenrod, gray dogwood. It used to be a half dead crabapple tree (didn't do well in the shade), and buckthorn. And an ugly falling apart brick border. Compare with the view two years earlier.
