Looking into the front yard

Bloomington, MN

This view is from the north, looking around the corner to the front yard. We have the wild columbine and bee balm by the house and then on the other side of the sidewalk the butterfly milkweed is blooming. I would later find 3 monarch caterpillars there! The tree by the street is a scraggly looking ash tree that we are going to have cut down to open up a little more light into the yard. I don't feel too bad about cutting it down because we have plenty of trees around. And I'm hoping to keep part of it as a log in the back garden which will provide some wildlife habitat.
