Wintry West Fork

Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon saw its first major snowstorm of the season...an event I've been looking forward to since moving to these parts. Originally, I had planned to head to the Grand Canyon to shoot the storm's aftermath, but all major roadways leading north were shut down because of the inclement conditions. I still hope to ring in the new year there...we'll see. Anyway, spending a wintry day in Sedona along with Oak Creek and West Fork canyons were my consolation prize. And what a consolation prize they were! There was beautiful, snowy scenery in every direction with this scene in West Fork Canyon probably being my favorite of the day.

And here I am sitting in Southern California instead of being home in Cottonwood. So I guess I will have to live vicariously through your great work Guy. Wonderful image.
