25 Jan

South Berwick, ME

My oldest was in a Geography Bee, sponsored by the parents of one of her good friends. I really didn't know what to expect, but since I am a geek, I had a blast. My daughter (in shades) has become a bit of a ham (potentially taking after her father).

Here is a great example for yet another use for the 100mm f/2.8 macro, it's usefulness goes way beyond photographing bugs. Indoors, even though I used the 580EX2 with the Better Bounce card, I really didn't need the flash at all.

At one point early on, someone who must have worked for the newspaper came by with two cannons around his neck, one had a 70-200 f/2.8IS on it. I wanted someone to distract him while I took it (perhaps he wouldn't notice?).
