1937 Lagonda LG45 Drophead Coupe

Haynes International Motor Museum, Sparkford, Yeovil, Somerset

HAYNES DESCRIPTION:

Although the most English of cars, the Lagonda title derived from an American born opera singer who was named after a Shawnee Indian River, Ough Okanda which the French settlers rendered as ta okanda.
The most elegant and graceful coupé that was designed by W.O. Bentley and aimed at the luxury end of the market.
The engine is a 4.5 Litre 6 cyliner, Meadows.
The 2 door touring body is factory built with an integral projecting boot.
The circular projections either side of the bonnet contain, on one side a spare wheel and on the other a tool kit.
