I have never seen a great gray owl with yellowish brown feathers around its eyes. It is a very rare treat.

People have been asking me about great gray owls and I just happened to know a place. I asked Ray if he wanted to go see not one but two great gray owls. He did not hesitate even if that meant being up very early.

We were not disappointed as both owls were active for several hours even as we left.
