Strong winds and intermittent showers made for bad shorebird watching/photography along the Ottawa River today. But I did manage to photograph a Barred Owl later in the afternoon. A nice way to end the day. It is a documentary shot as I had no choice in background or setting, etc.

Although into the second weekend of October, mild temps have kept much of the foliage from changing colour.
