You gotta love those pied-billed grebe young. Here one balances while mom tends to eggs.
Currently 4 pair of pied-billed grebes nest in this one location. The nest is a small mound usually close to shore.
In addition to grebes there are lots of mallards with ducklings and a few blue-winged teals with males in breeding plumage.
