We were astonished about the vast number of Coral Graffiti's along the route from Kona to Kohala.
We could show here literally hundreds of such similarly looking images. Everywhere someone placed
pieces of white coral in the shape of inscriptions and icons. Mostly the usual, "John loves Mary,"
thus we are not sure if the authors of these graffiti's are to be applauded for their artistry,
or condemned for the invasion of the otherwise pristine and untouched lava landscape...
Personally, I am not exited by this development. Apparently it is permitted to make these graffiti's,
but... it is illegal to remove any coral from the beaches! So, how these two rules go together?
