On the right side you might spot a relatively new rock with almost no vegetation. This is
the place at which a very recent 2500' land slide occurred. "Wizard Publications" documents
this on page 145 of their "Maui Revealed" book, 2000 edition. This landslide created 15
acres of new land. Unfortunately, they did not specify on what day this event occurred.
