it was hard not to be in touch with the southwest scenes..they were so immediate and compelling...it's one thing to photograph a landscape, and quite another to instantly fit in...Sam Rua adapts to the dynamic, changing conditions at Arches NP

Nice one, David. There's a reason why the backpack was off for this shot --- I was very close to the edge and didn't want an unexpected shift in contents to precipitate a short journey to the canyon floor.
