those plastic cases should look familiar...videotape is now history in television, and images are instead captured on SD cards by modern HD videocameras...here two are being ingested onto the servers for PC-based non-linear editing of news stories...working as a video editor is fun, as they pay you to play with images all day

Fascinating! I had no idea how they edited for TV nowadays. I do the same thing with news reports every day, but with words, not images. Doesn't look nearly as cool ;-).

That does sound like a good job! I like this shot with bright screens against the dark background and all the shiny buttons and words. It looks like organized chaos. Must take a while to learn all that stuff. V
