oil crisis

the price of gasoline has gone up by five cents a litre in the past week, making driving even more costly...my neighbour's old Ford was 'escorted' away, to be sold for scrap metal, after she had her own personal oil crisis...it seems she forgot to check the oil levels, and the engine ran dry, causing irreperable damage..it's back to public transit for her, and no more worries about the expense of owning a car

This is an expensive lesson to learn....one must follow the car manual and check the oil level at least once a week :) V

We all keep driving to an absolute minimum, but I for one, can't quite get rid of my faithful old car yet. This person would be very sad at the demise of her car. Great documentary of the times.

Peak oil! This car looks to be relatively new, but driving when the oil runs low (or out) is a no-no! Well, she may be better off anyway without the expense of a car. V

Checking the oil is as important as counting the wheels, do it regular!
