pier

Denman Island

one more from the recent trip to Denman Island, looking west across Baynes Sound towards Vancouver Island, where traces of snow still linger on the peaks of the Beaufort Range...there seems to have once been a pier at this spot, but now only a few decaying posts are left standing

Nicely done, the b/w makes the textures in the foreground stand out, and the mountains in the bg are lovely!

The old posts make a great foreground for this lovely view. Surprising there is still snow on the mountains. V

Time and life pass us by but the remnants remain to tell of a time forgotten. Lovely shot David works well in B/W

Nicely captured, David. Nice choice for B&W. The old pier adds a nice foreground element.

Oh this is mournful, the tallest post morphs into the figure of Sarah Woodruff of Fowles' French Lieutenant's Woman and stands with her eternal gaze. The other posts? No matter.

La composition est très belle avec ces différents plans... V
