Olive Python (Liasis olivaceus)

Kakadu National Park

Large pythons such as this are vulnerable on the road- but they are occasionally a little annoyed when requested to move on-
sort of like a drunk being told he has had too much to drink. Having long teeth and no other means of defending themselves
(apart from bluff) make dealing with such animals somewhat nerve-racking.

This specimen is approximaely 2m long.
