Rocket Frog, Litoria nasuta

Gurrumurru area, Arnhem Land NT Australia

This common ground dwelling species is capable of long forward leaps. It is a good idea not to look at one of these frogs from
the front without wearing eye protection, as they possess a sharp and dangerous snout. The longitudinal stripes and spots allow
this frog to sit camouflagued in long grass waiting for a hapless herpetologist to hone in on its repetitive call, then leap up to
take their eye out. But perhaps I am pulling legs.
