Leaf-curling spider, Phonognatha graeffei

Richmond NSW, Australia

Leaf-curling spiders can occur at great density in some places in Australia. On occasions while conducting fauna surveys in the
bush around Sydney I have been picking curled leaves containing spiders off me every few minutes, and that is when I try to go
around them. Fortunately, I have never found these spiders to be in the least bit aggressive.
