About a year after being burnt the trunk of this eucalypt is a vivid orange- highlighted by the desauration of the surroundings.
The dry woodlands of Australia are tuned to fire but the management of biodiversity depends very much on the frequency, intensity and extent of the fires.
Actually a close examination of this picture shows that there were a lot of wombats living in this part of the world!
