These delightful little lizards are amongst the fastest terrestrial animals in the Mornington Sanctuary- and they have to be.
Brown Goshawks, Australian Kestrels and Square-tailed kites frequently patrol over the outcrops of Warton sandstone where
these lizards stand bravely on rocks, keeping a sharp eye out for prey and predator alike. This little juvenile was so confident
in its ability to outrun me that it allowed me to approach to within centimetres with my 60mm Macro lens.
